MSA San Diego and APWA Annual Training and Equipment Show - 2017

MSA and APWA San Diego Chapters host the 2017 Annual Training and Equipment Show on Thursday, July 6 at the Carlsbad Safety Training Center from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM.

DEMONSTRATION:  Vendor demonstrations occurring throughout the all-day event.
 

 

TRAINING:  There will be short but valuable free training classes conducted for attendees (at no cost to Member Agencies). 

Chainsaw Safety Training:  Learn the proper way to handle any chainsaw and all new safety regulations.  Training provided by West Coast Arborists.

 

Traffic Control Training:  Learn about single lane closure, shifts, flagging and arrow board on-site to try out.  Training provided by Traffic Management, Inc.

 

Dog Awareness Training:  learn how to be aware and defend yourself against dogs out in the field.  Attendees may participate in a hands-on opportunity using a protective sleeve and the trainer-provided dog.  Training provided by "Sit Means Sit - Coastal San Diego".
 

 

 

EQUIPMENT SHOW:  See the latest and greatest products your MSA Vendors have to offer!
 

 

COMPETITION:  Agency teams will compete for a trophy based on overall scores in three competitions: Backhoe Skills, Sign Assembly, and Wheelbarrow.  Each agency can register one 3-person team. One person per competition event.  The backhoe competition will consist of two skills tests:

APWA will be sponsoring the 1st and 2nd place competitors in the backhoe skills competition to compete at the 2017 National APWA ROADEO, which is being held in Orlando, Florida.

Registration includes:  Lunch and beverage, free training classes, vendor equipment show, and a chance to win a raffle prize!

 

 

WHO SHOULD ATTEND?

Field Workers, Supervisors, Engineers, Superintendents, Managers, Directors, Administration staff, Buyers, Purchasing Agents, and Safety Officials
 

 

COST: $20.00 per person

VENDOR OPTIONS:  Pop-up, chairs and table not provided. Please bring a raffle prize.
$100 – One Space (10’ x 20’ approximate)
$150 – Two Spaces (20’ x 40’ approximate) – trailers require two spaces
$200 – Rolling Stock
